About Phi Beta Kappa of Northeast Florida
Phi Beta Kappa of Northeast Florida (formed 1992) is an alumni association of the National Phi Beta Kappa Organization.
Phi Beta Kappa, the first Greek-letter fraternity, was founded on December 5, 1776, at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. It has evolved to become the nation’s most prestigious arts and sciences honorary society and a leading advocate for liberal education.

The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Northeast Florida (PBK-NEFL) is one of these associations. It has tax-exempt, not-for-profit status. It is allied with the national society, but independently organized and separately managed by a volunteer team elected by its members. Its programs and services are supported by member dues and contributions. It receives no financial support from the national organization. All Phi Beta Kappa alumni are eligible to join, and upon payment of dues ($35 per annum) are full members of PBK-NEFL.
